Unfair Justice. . .

So after a long awaited 9 months i finally stepped up and went to court for my DUI from last December. Court went rather well and I only received 9 months of probation along with of course my mandatory 10 day sentence. Now the Judge said she had no problem with me being released on house arrest with a work release because I am a low risk individual, however due to Nebraska state Law I have to first self-surrender and THEN they will process me for house arrest. The only issue. . . is they dont have to grant the house arrest.

Yeah no granting me house arrest will simply just ruin my world as now i just found out the company i have poured my heart and soul into for the past 2 years will terminate me if I am unable to work during that 10 day period. So I would get locked up for 10 days, loose $700 in pay and THEN get fired. wow what a week.

All i can say is IF i get fired over this, there will be consequences to pay. .

Just Released: Only 2 months after the City of Omaha had to go 100% smoke free the complaints are rolling in, and not from the smokers. Yes we smokers feel upset over this ordeal because we are forced to leave the bar and go outside in 100 degree or 0 degree weather to smoke. We bitch and we complain but we have to deal with it. Well NOW the complaints are not coming from people smoking on smoke friendly patios, and in front of business but the non-smokers who FORCED them to the streets to smoke in the first place. I don’t want to smoke outside the bar; I want to smoke inside the bar with my cigarette in one hand and a nice cold beer in the other. Here is my message to all you non-smokers in the city of Omaha, if you don’t want to be by cigarette smoke then I suggest you DON’T GO OUTSIDE. Just give up. You won the battle but I guarantee if you try to win the fight you will lose. We might as well ban cigarettes all together and in the offset increase state sales tax another 1.5 to 2% to offset the lost in taxes on tobacco (which is a lot of revenue btw) because us smokers pay triple tax rates or 23.5%; for those of you who can’t do math; on every single pack of cigarettes we buy. These people who sit and just have to find something to bitch at are driving me fucking bananas and I can’t wait to blow by damn smoky cloud your way next time our paths cross.

Stuck In Big O!

Yep thats right, stuck here in the city that pisses me off like no other. It may sound like I’m just a cry baby because they absorbed my town but it has become more then just loosing E-town to push me to the edge. For starters there is the smoking ban, and now there is the so called “Pit bull” ban and who knows what the fuck else there going to take away from me. Yeah I know, I must sound like a 5yo who just lost his favorite teddy bear, but come on this town is becoming more conservative and its driving me fucking bonkers.

BTW the reason I’m stuck here is because my job promotion fell through so it looks like Omaha will be my home till the end of time.

Anyways the point of this was to test out a new beta blog program, so there will be more ranting to come, but for now I need to get back to work.
